Biographical/Historical note

Robert B. Ferguson (1927-2001) was a singer, songwriter, and author. He was born in Willow Springs, Missouri, and is best known for writing “On the Wings of a Dove” and “The Carroll County Accident,” which won the Country Music Association Song of the Year in 1969. He was the author of two books: “So You Want to be in Music” and “Indians of the Southeast: Then and Now.”
