Oct. 11, 1937 Clarksville, Tennessee To: Christine and Gilbert Govan From: Caroline Gordon.

 Item — Box: MS-053 001, Folder: 18

Scope and Contents note

Mentions that she is ordering a new copy of her new novel to be sent to them once “Album Leaf” arrived. States that new novels come across thick as autumn leaves but real bed-time reading is scarce. States that Shearing is a master and that this book is better than “Moss Rose.” Mentions that Allen is working on his new novel, which caused them to miss the Stokes and Stockell book party for Marquis James. States that the Campbells have moved to Washington where Unk is one of the multitudinous assistants to the attorney-general. Wishes that the Govans would come to visit.
