Biographical / Historical
Dennis Haskins, a Chattanooga native and an almnus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, began his role as Mr. Belding with Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which aired on the Disney Channel in 1988. The next year, NBC renamed the show Saved by the Bell. Known for the catchphrase “Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here?”, Haskins continued to play the role of Mr. Belding until 2000 in Saved by the Bell: The New Class, after the original wrapped in 1993.
Peter Engel produced Good Morning, Miss Bliss, Saved by the Bell, and Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
