Biographical / Historical

Kay Baker Gaston is a historian and writer who lives in Springfield, Tennessee. The Walden's Ridge Historical Association published her biography of Appalachian naturalist, artist, and author Emma Bell Miles in 1985. During the course of researching the book, Gaston gathered a collection of correspondence with Miles' children, clippings of Miles' short stories, newspaper columns, and short stories, and a variety of records, illustrations, and other material that document the life of Emma Bell Miles.
