This collection contains scrapbooks, photographs, manuscripts, postcards, and personal papers dating from 1913 to 1977. Included are scrapbooks Griscom produced as a young girl through adulthood, images of her and her family, as well as a notebook of poems. All of which give a glimpse into the personal and professional life of this honored University of Chattanooga professor.

Photographs of Griscom as a young girl and into her adulthood. Many early images are studio portraits while the majority of the later are snapshots. Also included are images of family members and friends. Formats include cabinet cards, post cards and silver-gelatin prints, including several professional 8x10 photographs. Also included are two framed images of Griscom, one as a child the other as an older adult.

This series comprises of a collection of brochures, pamphlets and other ephemera collected by Griscom over the years. The items chronicle Griscom’s personal as well as professional interests. Highlights include a copy of graduation programs, the 1944 Ladies Birthday Almanac, a dedicated copy of the Southern Accent, a copy of the Thomas Wolfe Newsletter in which Griscom is published, and a gasoline rationing ticket.
