This collection contains scrapbooks, photographs, manuscripts, postcards, and personal papers dating from 1913 to 1977. Included are scrapbooks Griscom produced as a young girl through adulthood, images of her and her family, as well as a notebook of poems. All of which give a glimpse into the personal and professional life of this honored University of Chattanooga professor.

Scope and Contents note From the Series:

Photographs of Griscom as a young girl and into her adulthood. Many early images are studio portraits while the majority of the later are snapshots. Also included are images of family members and friends. Formats include cabinet cards, post cards and silver-gelatin prints, including several professional 8x10 photographs. Also included are two framed images of Griscom, one as a child the other as an older adult.

Scope and Contents note From the Series:

This series contains many post cards as well as snapshots by and of Isobel Griscom collected over many years of traveling. Post cards portray views of landscapes, cityscapes, architecture and artwork. Places include Brussels, England, Mexico, Paris, and America. While personal snapshots highlight landscapes and people, both travelers and natives. Places include Holland, England and Venice. The personal images are silver-gelatin snapshots that have been glued onto light card stock.
