Walt Disney productions was founded in 1923 by Walt Disney and Roy Disney as Disney Brothers Cartoon Studios. The company was renamed Walt Disney Productions in 1929, a name that was used until 1986 when it was renamed Walt Disney Studios. Walt Disney Productions most popular character was Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse was created by Walt Disney and animator Ub Iwerks in 1928 and has been a central figure in Disneey's merchandising and productions ever since..
