Biographical / Historical
Chattanooga Venture was a nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Chattanooga, Tennessee, formally beginning in 1984. It created Vision 2000, a project organized to gather input on revitalization of Chattanooga from the public. This process allowed the people of Chattanooga to communicate their hopes for change in the city directly to the organization. Throughout its existence, Chattanooga Venture promoted the construction of the Tennessee Aquarium, restoration of the Walnut Street Bridge, and creation of the Tennessee Riverpark.

Rick Montague served as the executive director and president of the Lyndhurst Foundation. He helped create the Chattanooga Venture organization, becoming the Chairman Elect of the organization in 1988.
