Biographical / Historical

In 1969, The University of Chattanooga Administration and Board of Trustees reached a merger agreement with the University of Tennessee system and local institution Chattanooga City College. The result was the creation of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a new campus of the University of Tennessee System. This agreement was also responsible for the creation of the University of Chattanooga Foundation, which continues to oversee the allocation endowment funds of the University of Chattanooga, which go towards enhancing the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
