Biography

Olive Hunt was born in Newcastle, Ok. on February 26, 1912. Hunt moved to Chattanooga in 1946, where she worked in real estate and the McCallie School. Beginning in the 1960s, she became active in politics and was involved in the campaign of Bill Brock for the U.S. House of Representatives. After the election, Hunt moved to D.C. to work as a member of Brock's staff. After Brock was elected to the Senate, Hunt began working for Congressman Lamar Baker. She later volunteered at the White House for President Gerald Ford and President George W. Bush.
