English- Victorian Literature and Poetry 1932-1936
Scope and Contents
This collection covers his years at the University of Chattanooga, from 1932 to 1936. He emphasized French as a foreign language, which led to his career for the rest of his life. His papers give good examples of the type of work expected of students at the University of Chattanooga during those years, and he took courses from some of the leading faculty of the University: Edwin Lindsey, Maxwell Smith, Terrell Tatum, and Culver Smith. There is additional post UC material, including graduate school work from the University of Wisconsin, some teaching material from UC and Middle Georgia College, and some playbills and theater programs.
