Scope and Contents

This collection contains scrapbooks, photographs, manuscripts, postcards, and personal papers dating from 1913 to 1977. Included are scrapbooks Griscom produced as a young girl through adulthood, images of her and her family, as well as a notebook of poems. All of which give a glimpse into the personal and professional life of this honored University of Chattanooga professor.

Scope and Contents note From the Series: The scrap books were compiled by Griscom over the years 1913 through the 1960s. Books from her childhood years include items such as play programs and bills, newspaper clippings, greeting cards, images and hand written notes. These books give an excellent portrayal of a young woman’s life in the early 20th Century.
