This item is a poem by an unknown author typed onto a sheet of paper titled I Ain't Workin on No Railroad mritten in amanor to mock African-American dialect and alleging that the social programs of the Lyndon Johnson administration amounted to handouts to blacks in return for votes. The poem was sent by Ida Talaiferro to her son HUbert Taliaferro Jr. on 1968 May 23.
