Grant University records
This series contains founding legal documents, administrative and financial records, newspaper clippings and other materials pertaining to both the Chattanooga and Athens campuses of Grant University from 1889 to 1907.
Thomas H. McCallie annotated autobiography
This collection contains a photocopied facsimile of McCallie's autobiography covering a period beginning in 1901 and ending in 1912. The Memoirs is a hand-written volume of 153 pages. A transcription of the memoir is available. There are also three letters (photocopies) from 1905 concerning the founding of the McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
University of Chattanooga School of Theology records
This series contains a grade book, faculty meeting minutes, a faculty roster for the School fo Theology dating from 1890 to 1910. It also contains speech notes on the history of the School of Theology titled "The School of Theology in Grant University and The University of Chattanooga" by Roy L. Howard, presented at the meeting of the Southeastern Jurisdiction Historical Society at Tennessee Wesleyan College, 2008 July 9.
Herman Lamb photographs
This collection contains photographic prints and negatives depicting Chattanooga, Tennessee ranging from the 1920s to the 1970s, including photographs of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's visit to Chattanooga, in 1940. Subjects depicted also include scenes from Lookout and Signal Mountains, views of downtown Chattanooga, and images of a variety of buildings, people, and events.
