Kosmos-Woman's Club (1929-) (Chattanooga, Tenn.)
Biography
In 1929, the Chattanooga Woman's Club and the Kosmos Club combined the two organizations, resulting in a combined membership of nearly 1,000. Immediately following the merger, the combined organization referred to themselves as the Kosmos-Chattanooga Woman's Club. The women later simplified the name to the Kosmos-Woman's Club.
After the merger and creation of the Kosmos-Chattanooga Woman's Club in 1929, the membership divested themselves of property owned by the Komos Club located at 900 Oak Street in the Fort Wood neighborhood of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The merged organization maintained ownership of the 901 Vine Street property originally purchased by the Chattanooga Woman's Club and also located in the Fort Wood neighborhood. Later, the membership acquired property located at 624 McCallie Avenue in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Kosmos-Woman's Club yearbooks
